Hi Joe
Yes, Emotional Detox through bodywork is good for both men and women. Women are more emotional minded and men are more logical minded. So, women get more blocked with negative emotions and they can also benefit more from positive emotions, unlike men.
If a man undergoes a series of emotional detox treatments he will release trauma and negative emotions stagnate in his body and can get in touch with his feminine (Yin) side and be a more balanced man.
Hi Jenny
This work must be done by opposite polarities of Yin and Yang per ancient teachings. Men need to be treated by feminine (Yin) and women need to be treated by masculine (Yang). So, if a woman is treating another woman, she needs to use her masculine energy to treat the woman and if a man is treating another man, he needs to use his feminine energy to treat the man
Most women are hurt by men and it’s a man who could evoke her deeply embedded emotions such as fear, anger, sadness and mistrust due to past trauma. A well-trained male therapist will know how to create a sacred, safe space for you and earn your trust and help you to evoke emotions and let go. This whole process will help you to reprogram your cellular memory and help you to look at men in a very positive way. A woman my find it very difficult to evoke such deep trauma within another woman. The person who damage you need to help heal and open you. I fully understand the fear of re-experiencing the trauma and your decision to be treated by another woman. This can help initially to integrate into this work and once you are more open the female therapists will refer you to a trained male therapist to help you go deeper.
Similarly, most men are hurt by women and its best for them to heal their wounds by a trained female with unconditional love
You will find, myself and a list of therapists (both male and female) that I have trained in the following link http://www.tantricjourney.com/book-a-session/
Please feel free to ask me further questions

Hi Josie, Treatment can be done in a complete dark room, under candle light or with full day light, which ever the client prefers. Preferences depends on the emotions at the time. Its best to start with your preference and then to go on the journey towards the opposite as and when you feel trusting and comfortable. This is how emotions are evoked and released. All done at your own pace. Mal
